I made a great discovery today. I want to Quilter's Workshop in Carrollton, TX and found a book called "Floorquilts!: Fabric Decoupaged Floorcloths-No-Sew Fun" by Ellen Highsmith Silver.
I asked the woman working there about the book and they actually had two floorquilts made up and the other woman working there had made them. She came out and sat down with me and told me things she found in the book that did not work well and some other hints. She was really great and it was very uplifting to meet someone so willing to share.
This project is pretty far down on my list, but it is definitely one I am going to try.

Wow! This sounds really cool! Since it is a No-Sew project do you think I could learn how to do it? I could make a Cat Rug. Cat coasters.
TortugaQuilter,
It's great to hear that my book, FLOORQUILTS, is alive and well without me to hold its hand.
If you want to start small, try placemats(reversible, perhaps) that only require muslin instead of canvas as the backing...just treat the muslin as you do all the fabrics, apply gesso to both sides and you're good to go. I made a slew last year that reverse from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
Remind your quilt shop that there is a detailed Lesson Plan available from C&T Publishing.
Thanks for noticing my book.
Ellen
